DAPHENE M. CROWLEY ADDISON – Daphene M. Crowley, 73, passed away Sept. 21, 2005, unexpectedly at Down East Community Hospital. She was born Sept. 23, 1931, in Jonesport, the daughter of the late Herbert and Emma (Carver) Morang. Daphene was a graduate of Jonesport High School, Class of 1948. She was a member of the Community of Christ Church in South Addison. Daphene was an extremely caring and generous person. She was a good listener and would always take the time to listen to family and friends. Every year she would prepare 50-60 memorial baskets for others. She enjoyed playing games and was an excellent storyteller. Daphene was an avid Red Sox and Celtics fan. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Daphene is survived by her husband of 54 years, Keith A. Crowley Sr.; children, Jean Crowley, Jessie Alley and husband, William, Judy Handy and husband, Donald, all of Addison, Jane Look and husband, Raymond, of Florida, Keith “Ubbie” Crowley Jr. and fianc?e, Rebecca Skinner, and James Crowley and fianc?e, Rebecca White, all of Addison; grandchildren and great-gran-dchildren, Donna Eldridge and husband, Dave, and their three children, Emily, Elyssa, and Eagan, of Cutler, Michael Look of Addison, Courtney Look of Florida, Barry Alley and wife, Andrea, and their son, Timothy, of New Hampshire, Holly Alley and friend, Jason Tyler, Keith “Trey” Crowley III, Katie and Lindsey Crowley, and Chad Crowley, all of Addison; two brothers, Herbert Morang of Tenn. and Richard Morang of Harrington; mother-in-law, Phyllis Crowley, of Addison; brother-in-law, Adelmar “Tuddy” Urquhart, of Jonesport; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Russell and Janice Lampher of Orland, Arlene Guptill, Nadine and Virgil Crowley, Ralph and Norma Gray, and their grandson, William Gray, and Leroy Tibbetts, all of Addison, and many others who knew and loved Daphene. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Thunder. She was predeceased by a sister, Lucille Urquhart; two sisters-in-law, Ila Morang and Phyllis Morang; and father-in-law, Donald Crowley. Visiting hours will take place from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, at the Community of Christ Church in South Addison, where a service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005. Burial will follow at the Basin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community of Christ Church, care of Audrey Tyler, 210 Moose Neck Road, Addison, ME 04606.
