MADAWASKA – Darius Levesque, 89, died March 16, 2007, at a Madawaska nur-sing home. He was born Jan. 16, 1918, in Grand Isle, the son of Joseph L. and Marie Louise (Lavoie) Levesque. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Thomas O. Cyr Legion Post No. 147, Madawaska. He had served as commander of the Legion Post for one term, as county commander, and as commander of the Charlie Company of the Fort Kent National Guard. He is survived by his wife, Rolande (Michaud) Levesque of Madawaska; one son, Daniel Levesque and his wife, Linda, of Madawaska; four grandchildren, Jeffrey, Anthony, Lesley and Andrew Levesque; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. David Church. Friends and relatives may call 7-9 p.m. Monday and 8:30 a.m. Tuesday until time of services at Daigle Funeral Home. Interment will be at St. David Cemetery later in the spring.
