PRESQUE ISLE – Darlene M. Cyr, 43, died March 14, 2004, at a local hospital. She was born April 25, 1960, in Manchester, Conn., the daughter of Freeman and Lois (Golder) Cyr. Darlene was loved by everyone she met because of her warm loving smile and bright blue eyes. Even with her life long challenges with cerebral palsy she was still out-going and loved long rides with family, going shopping at the mall or listening to country music. She will be sadly missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. She was predeceased by her parents. Surviving her is a brother, Randall A. Cyr and his wife, Deborah, of Presque Isle; her maternal grandmother, Ada Golder; and an uncle, Dale Golder, both of Presque Isle; her aunt, Julie Harrison and her husband, David, of Ft. Myers Beach, Fla.; her aunt, Darlene Gaines and her husband, Jim, of Kennesaw, Ga. She is also survived by her cousins and co-guardians, David and Patricia Cyr of Presque Isle; and her Aunt Vivian Deforest of Presque Isle; and several other cousins and friends. Relatives and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Main St., Presque Isle, with the Rev. Alfred Irving celebrant. A spring interment will be in St Mary’s North Main St. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Adult Multiple Alternative Learning Center, formerly the Helen P.
