OLD TOWN and BANGOR – Darrell E. Parks, 64, died peacefully Dec. 27, 2006, surrounded by his family at his Bangor home. He was born Dec. 2, 1942, in Old Town, the son of Austin and Freda (Watters) Parks. Darrell enjoyed the outdoors, spending time on the coast, talking politics and watching NASCAR races on TV. He is survived by his life-long special friend, Patricia “Pat” Parks of Bangor; four sons, Darrell “Bubba” Parks Jr. and fiance, Laura Page, Wayne Dalrymple, both of Bangor, Myron Hutchinson and his wife, Denise, of Old Orchard Beach and Jeffrey Hutchinson of Bangor; three daughters and their husbands, Karen and Wayne Deck of Old Town, Becky and Butch Joy of Corinth and Sandra and John Rice of Glenburn; one brother, James Parks of Old Town; two sisters, Louise Eunice Parks of Old Town and Helen and her husband, Johnny Nadeau, of Orono; nine grandchildren, Dante Austin Samuel Parks, Alex William Deck, Theisa, Andrew, Little Becky, Heather, Chad, Amanda and Jeffrey Jr.; seven great-grandchildren, Jenessa, Dakota, Dylan, Tyler, Emily, Hailey and Alyssa. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Delmont and Johnny Parks. Services will be private for the family.
