MILLTOWN – Darrell H. Clark, 62, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2006, surrounded by his family and friends at Calais Regional Hospital. Darrell was born Jan. 21, 1944, in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, the son of Lloyd and Sara Jean Clark of Milltown. Darrell’s favorite place to be was at Howard Lake. He could be found either working in his garden, fishing or hunting in the area. He also enjoyed playing cards around the camps. Darrell served his country during the Vietnam War from May 1965 to May 1967. Darrell belonged to the Maine National Guard and was a member of the Calais Rod & Gun Club. He worked for Eastern Maine Electric and Georgia Pacific. Darrell was predeceased by a sister, Karen Sue Howland; and two daughters, Tammy Lynn Clark and Sonya Jean Clark. Surviving are his two sons, John T. Clark and wife, Helen, of Baileyville and Allen H. Clark and Krista Trafton of Milltown; a special granddaughter, Myka Sadie Clark; a stepgranddaughter, Amber Gutierrez; three brothers, Stanley Clark and wife, Judy, Arnold Clark and wife, Sue and Philip Clark; a sister, Linda McPhee; a sister-in-law, Barbie Clark; two nieces, Lisa Karen Hinman and Paula Jean Clark; and nephews, Gary and Pete Howland, Joe, Arnold and Derek Clark and Corey and Bradley McPhee. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Calais. Burial will be held after at Baring Cemetery. At Darrell’s request, no flowers please.
