PROSPECT HARBOR – David A. Alley, 61, passed away unexpectedly May 26, 2006, at his residence. He was born March 13, 1945, in Newport, the son of the late Austin and Helen (Whiting) Alley. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. David enjoyed playing his guitar. He is survived by his companion, Louise Alley of Prospect Harbor; daughters, Marlene Walker and man friend, D.J. Moody, of Prospect and Charlene Cowperthwaite and husband, Earle, of Prospect Harbor; son, Frank Alley of Brewer; grandchildren, Dekoter, Megan, Ashley, Jacob, Sierra, and Cheyenne; two stepsons, Robert Moon of Lewiston and Deven Moon and wife, Cheryl, of Jefferson; seven stepgrandchildren; a special nephew, Austin Alley II; several nieces and nephews; one cousin; and special friend, Lawrence Nichols. He was predeceased by a grandson, Tyler James Walker; a sister, Mary Marston; a brother, Charles Alley; and a special friend, Cindy Walker. Visitation will take place 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Homes in Ellsworth followed immediately by a funeral service 11 a.m. A committal service will take place 2 p.m. May 31, at Riverside Cemetery in Newport.
