CHELMSFORD, Mass. – David Antonitis, 57, a resident of Chelmsford, Mass., since 1988, died Saturday, June 30, 2007, at his home. He was the husband of Nancy J. (Bronson) Antonitis of Chelmsford, Mass. He was born Oct. 19, 1949, the son of the late Joseph J. Antonitis and Beverly Stutsman Antonitis, who survive him and reside in Orono. David attended the University of Maine, where he received his Bachelor of Science in physics. He was in the U.S. Navy for six years during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a systems engineer for L3 communications on site at Hanscom Air Force Base, Bedford, Mass. He was an avid, passionate and devoted Scoutmaster. He was the training leader and a den leader for Cub Scout Pack 81 for seven years. At the time of his death, he was the Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 81. He had completed BSA Woodbadge Training and was awarded his beads in 2006. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two children, Andrew D. Antonitis of Chelmsford, Mass., and Alex J. Antonitis of Chelmsford, Mass. Visiting hours will be held 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Blake Funeral Home, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford, Mass. Funeral Mass will be offered 11 a.m. Friday at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Chelmsford, Mass.
