OLD ORCHARD BEACH David Daniel Stevens, 54, passed away Sept. 4, 2006, at a Massachusetts hospital with his wife, Doreen (Baxter) Stevens, by his side. He was born Oct. 1, 1951, to Willard Delmont Stevens and Lorrie (McLean) Stevens. David loved the outdoors, motorcycling, water-skiing, snowsleding, ski-doos, four-wheeling and loved to be at camp, his special place. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. David delivered Bangor Daily News during his school years and picked potatoes. He also was employed for many years with the Bangor & Aroostook Railroad until his disability. He was predeceased by his father in 1968; and stepsister, Stephanie A. (Stevens) Winkleblech in 1977. He is survived by three children, Eric Stevens of Machiasport, Jeremy Stevens of California and Morgan Stevens of Connecticut; three stepchildren; one stepdaughter, Ruth Adams; two stepsons, Niki Atkinson and Jay Atkinson; stepbrother, Ronnie Stevens of Florida; a stepsister, Judy (Stevens) McDowell and husband, Phil, of Princeton; brother, Irvin Stevens of Ludlow; two sisters, Bebe (Stevens) Bishop and husband, Kelley, of New Limerick and Zoe (Stevens) Morthy and husband, Skip, of Lebanon; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. There will be a memorial service 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, at the camp on North Shore Road, Drews Lake, 11 Chipmuck Lane, New Limerick. Everyone is welcome to come and celebrate Dave’s life with his family. The memorial service will be led by the Rev. David Tuttle of New Limerick. There will be no calling hours.
