TOPSHAM – Natalie R. Rude, 70, of Meadow Road, died Sept. 4, 2006, at her home after a long illness. Natalie was born Aug. 11, 1936, daughter of George and Doris Phillips of Hermon. She graduated from Hermon High School, Class of 1954. She became the wife of Amuel Lee Rude April 27, 1976. Natalie worked in the restaurant business for many years, most recently at the Kopper Kettle restaurant. She knew and touched many people with her generosity and energetic personality. She loved spending time with her family, traveling and also enjoyed a periodic casino trip. Natalie was predeceased by her father, George Phillips; brother, Gerald Phillips; sister, Marilyn Mullen; and son, Harold G. “Hallie” Ellingwood. She will be greatly missed by her husband, A. Lee Rude; mother, Doris Phillips; brother, Robert Phillips; sister, Sandra Harris; a son, Timothy G. Ellingwood and his wife, Cindy, of Brunswick; daughter, Valerie J. Jennings and her husband, Greg, of Lisbon Falls; daughter, Mari-Lynn Winn and her husband, Paul, of North Berwick; son, Richard G. Ellingwood and his wife, Michelle, of Missouri; daughter, Teri L. Ellingwood and her partner, Chris, of Bowdoin; step daughters, Linda Pitner and Diane White of Virginia; all of her beloved grandchildren, Jodi, Kyle, Jessie, Timmy, Coty, Zachary, Derek and Chad; stepgrandchildren, Reese, Truth, Colton, Nathan and Michael; and three great-grandchildren. No funeral service will be held. A private celebration of her life will be attended by family only.
