HAMPDEN – David Edwin Fearon, 74, husband of Pauline “Polly” Fearon, passed away peacefully surr-ounded by his family on April 27, 2004, at his home in Hampden. He was born Dec. 12, 1929, in Hampden, the son of Ray E. and Hazel (Whitcomb) Fearon. David served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a lifelong resident of Hampden, and had worked for 42 years in the plumbing and heating business for New England Pipe and F.W. Webb Company. David was a 50-year member of Calvary Baptist Church of Brewer. He was a very talented man, enjoyed his cats, and working in his shop building birdhouses and feeders. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Pauline (Damon) Fearon of Hampden; a daughter, Shirley Reynolds and her husband, Robert, of Bangor; a brother, Donald Fearon and his wife, Ardee, of Newburgh; two sisters, Winona Tracey and her husband, Arthur, of Bangor and Florida, and Hilda Witten and her husband, James, of Trenton, Mo.; three grandchildren, Bobby and Renee Reynolds and Matthew David Fearon, all of Bangor; and many nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by his parents; a son, Roger Fearon; and by a brother, Frank Fearon. A memorial service and service of committal will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at the Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden.
