BANGOR – David L. Goodwin, 69, devoted husband of Betty (Williams) Good-win, died June 28, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Feb. 14, 1936, in Laconia, N.H., the son of Linwood and Irene (Piper) Goodwin. He was educated in New Hampshire schools and graduated from the University of N.H. His education was very lovingly monitored by his mother the Rev. Irene Goodwin. David served in the U.S. Air Force, and retired from the Air National Guard. He enjoyed studying scripture, gardening and helping animals and people. Surviving is his beloved wife, Betty Goodwin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2005, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bangor, with the Rev. Roland Nadeau, celebrant. Interment with military honors will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. A service of Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor.
