GREENFIELD – Eugene F. Crosby, 74, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2005, surrounded by his family at a Howland healthcare facility. He was born May 11, 1931, in Old Town, son of the late Elbridge and Bertha (Pinkham) Crosby. Eugene enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling with his wife, especially the many trips to Baxter State Park. He also enjoyed mowing his lawn and working in the orchard. Eugene was a member of the Cardville United Pentecostal Church. He is survived and will be sadly missed by a son, William Crosby of Greenfield; son, Laurence Crosby and his wife, Resa, of Bradley; son, Robert Crosby and his wife, Lisa, of Greenfield; brothers, Cecil “Bing,” Richard, and Maynard; sisters, Ella and Ethel; special grandson, Jason Crosby; special stepgrandson, Taylor Bishop; many nieces and nephews, special friends, Bud and Dolly Carroll, Gaylen and Janice Madden, Mike Norris; and dog and riding buddy, “Bridget”. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Diana W. (White) Crosby, two brothers, Clarence and Robert Crosby. A graveside service will be conducted 9 a.m. Friday, at the Greenfield Cemetery in Green-field.
