HOLLYWOOD, Md. – David Russell McKay, 84, died March 13, 2006, in St. Mary’s Hospital, Leonardtown, Md. Born June 7, 1921, in Calais, he was the son of the late William and Edna Sprague McKay. He served in the U.S. Navy for 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Cecilia McKay of Hollywood, Md.; daughter, Cindy McKay Young of St. Inigoes, Md.; son, David William McKay of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Grace Meader of Calais and Margorie Hagen of Massachusetts, and two grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Nash and Alden McKay. The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, in the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., 22955 Hollywood Rd., Leonardtown, Md. A funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. Thursday, March 16, in the Mount Zion United Methodist Church, 21708 Mount Zion Church Rd., Mechanicsville, Md. Rev. Phil Ayers will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being provided by the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., Leonardtown, Md.
