GLENBURN – David Vernon Cammack, 51, went to be with the Lord July 12, 2006, after a long and courageous battle with multiple myeloma. He was born Dec. 27, 1954, in Washington, D.C., the son of Donald A. and Barbara Jean (Richardson) Cammack. David attended Bangor schools and graduated from Bangor High School. He had a passion for playing guitar and enjoyed playing with the worship team at his church. David thoroughly enjoyed motorcycling, fishing, horse back riding, bird watching and reading his weekly Uncle Henry’s. He liked his many Craftsman tools and felt strongly that was the only brand to have. When David was a young boy he enjoyed selling the Grit Newspaper to family, friends and relatives after church services in the Frazier Street neighborhood. He then started working at Sears and worked his way through the organization in various jobs, and after 22 years became an assistant manager. In 1994, he joined his wife, Carol and made a career selling insurance with Allstate Insurance. He was a much loved husband, father, brother, uncle and son, and will be dearly missed. David is survived by his wife, Carol (Hunt) Cammack of Glenburn; children, Caitlin Cammack of Glenburn, Matthew Cammack of Pawtucket, R.I., Laura Cammack of Old Town; brothers and sisters, Donald Cammack Jr. and wife, Carolann, of Bangor, Vicki Caruso and husband, Bob, of Hampden, Patrick Cammack and wife, Valerie, of Glenburn, Robert Cammack of Bradford, Cheri McCormick and husband, Rick, of Bangor and Daniel Cammack and wife, Tina, of Florida. He will be dearly missed by his mother-in-law, Kathleen Hunt of Glenburn; a sister-in-law, Diane Louis of Tavares, Fla.; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 14, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, July 15, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1465 Union St., Bangor, with the Rev. Brian Hale officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments in the fellowship hall after the service. Interment will be at a later date at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
