BEALS – Virginia Evelyn Drisko passed away peacefully July 11, 2006, surrounded by her loving family, at Sunrise Care Facility, Jonesport, after a short stay. She was born March 6, 1921, the daughter of the late William and Esther (Alley) Merchant. Virginia devoted her life to her husband, daughter and grandchildren; being involved in any way possible. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Lamb of God, Jonesport, and a KOPS member of TOPS ME No. 74, where she was an inspiration to all who joined. She was known for her many beautiful plants and scrubs, and many happy years of camping at Slate Island. Virginia is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ellis Drisko; daughter, Juanita and son-in-law, Danny Gray; two grandchildren, Daniel Gray and his wife, Malinda and William Gray and fiance, Rachelle Parker; two great-grandchildren, Michael and Mackenzie Gray, all of Addison; a special friend, Holly Alley, who she thought of as one of her own grandchildren; her cat, Baby Girl. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 15, at the Lamb of God Church, Jonesport. Interment will be at the Sewell Field Cemetery, Beals.
