ETNA – Dean S. Reynolds, 82, died Dec. 15, 2004, at a Dexter health-care facility after a short illness. He was born May 2, 1923, in Newport, the son of Dean S. and Theresa C. (Ireland) Reynolds Jr. Dean attended Etna and Newport schools and graduated from Newport High School, Class of 1941. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran serving in China, Burma, and India. Dean married Cora E. Robinson, Oct. 3, 1970 in Hermon. He was a member of Benevolent Masonic Lodge No. 87 of Carmel, a member of the York Rites, and a member of Anah Shrine in Bangor. He was a member of the Brewer Eagles Lodge and a member of the Bangor V.F.W. Post. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cora E. Reynolds of Etna; two stepsons, George O. Holton and his wife, Dianne, of Etna, Michael J. Holton of Etna; two brothers, Paul Reynolds of Etna, Nathan Reynolds of Fall Church, Va.; two sisters, Martha Harmon and Thayes Harmon, both of Machias; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Combined memorial services and Masonic services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20, 2004, at the High Street Congregational Church, 24 High St., Newport, with Pastor Al Worden officiating. Friends and family are requested to make memorial donations to the Sebasticook Valley Community Center, care of Theresa Bickford, 7 Mill St., Newport, ME 04953.
