STORRS, Conn. – Deanna M. Federowicz, beloved wife of John S. Federowicz, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, in the companionship of family and friends at Windham Community Memorial Hospital, after an extended illness. Born Feb. 10, 1946, in Dexter, Deanna was the first daughter of the late Nazier and Anita Clukey of Guilford. Deanna had lived in Connecticut over the past 40 years and was retired from the State of Connecticut, where she most recently had supervised a group home for mentally disabled individuals run by the Department of MR, where she gave of herself generously to those in her care. Dee was active with her pets and would advocate for their well being, as well as being helpful for those in need. She had earned a degree in case management at Manchester Community College. Deanna will be greatly missed by all whose lives she has touched. Deanna is survived by her husband, John; her son and daughter-in-law, Kiev J. and Gail Federowicz, of Coventry, Conn.; her granddaughter, Kes; her brothers, Leonard Clukey of Guilford and Nazier Clukey Jr. of Sangerville; her sister, Barbara Pickens of Sangerville; her nieces and nephews, Brock Clukey of Andover, Leonard Clukey Jr. of Guilford, Holly Clukey of Sangerville and Dotty Clukey of Willimantic. Deanna will also be fondly remembered by her brother-in- law and wife, Donn and Linda Federowicz, of Coventry, Conn. Memorial services will be held 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, at the First Congregational Church of Coventry, 1171 Main St., Coventry, Conn., by the Rev. Bruce Johnson. A reception will be after the service at the fellowship hall. A service to be held for friends and family in her home state of Maine is to be announced in the future.
