GREENFIELD, Mass. – Deborah Isabel (Wiggins) Stevens, 83, of 54 High St., Greenfield, Mass., formerly of Houlton, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, at Bayside Medical Center in Springfield, Mass. She moved to Greenfield in 2003 and resided at the Weldor House. She was born Oct. 5, 1922, in Houlton, the daughter of George F.B. and Bernice W. (Armstrong) Wiggins. Mrs. Stevens was a Mayflower descendent from the lineage of William White. She attended the former Niles School in Houlton, was a long time member of the RSVP and a long time member of the Portia Rebekah Lodge in Houlton. Mrs. Stevens enjoyed attending luncheons at the Greenfield Senior Center with her many friends. She also enjoyed watching the Red Sox baseball games and the Celitcs, UConn and UMass basketball games with her family. Survivors include two sons, Duane A. Stevens and his wife, Deborah Hill Stevens, of Ashfield, Mass. and David C. Stevens and his wife, Linda, of Ludlow; two brothers, Lawrence Wiggins and his wife, Marie, John Wiggins and his wife, Gwen, both of Houlton; two sisters, Freida Jeffrey of Houlton and Dorothy Shaw of Littleton; a sister-in-law, Reba Wiggins of Houlton; four grandchildren, Larry Stevens and his wife, Jolyn, of Ludlow, Doreen Conlogue and her husband, Michael, of Littleton, Carly and Jeremy Stevens, both of Ashfield, Mass.; three great-grandchildren, Jacob and Jordyn Stevens of Winterport and Grace Stevens of Ludlow; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother, George Wiggins Jr.; two sisters, Marguerite Malone and Arlene Schools, all formerly of Houlton. Recently she was visited by Reba Wiggins, nieces and nephews, Rebecca, Sean and Katelyn Wiggins, Lawrence Wiggins with nieces, Pamela Gove and Kelly Pelkey and niece and nephew, Eula and Rodney Lorom. Friends may call noon-1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, with funeral services being held 1 p.m., with the Rev. Naomi Sam-Kpakara, officiating. Spring interment will be in Plain Cemetery in Ashfield, Mass.
