ELLSWORTH and WEST HAVEN, Conn. – Deborah “Debbie” S. Kerr, 36, departed this earth expectedly, Oct. 25, 2005. She was born Sept. 6, 1969, in New Haven, Conn. Debbie grew up and attended schools in West Haven, Conn. She enjoyed working as a C.N.A. Through her volunteer work with the Down East Aids Network, Debbie helped to educate area youth on the prevention of HIV/AIDS. Debbie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She had a great love for life and especially enjoyed painting and writing. Debbie is survived by her parents, Robert Kerr Sr. and Zelda Kerr, of Jonesport; daughters, Vanessa DiVerniero of Jonesport, Nicole Oliver of Somers, Conn., Alexandra Locke of Killingworth, Conn., and Alissa Kerr of North Haven, Conn.; sister, Kristine Esposito and husband, John, of Milbridge and their children, Anthony, Krysondra, Bryhanah, and Jonella; brother, Robert L. Kerr Jr. of West Virginia. She was predeceased by her companion, Michael Fuqua. Friends are invited to visit 6-7 p.m Tuesday, Nov. 1 with the family before the memorial service at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Main St., Milbridge. A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Debbie’s memory to the Down East AIDS Network, care of Chris Reed, 25A Pine St., Ellsworth, ME 04605.
