PRENTISS – Delores Marie (Smith) Glover, 72, beloved wife of 53 years to the Rev. Thomas H. Glover, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Feb. 2, 2007, at a Millinocket hospital, after a brief battle with cancer. She was born Sept. 15, 1934, in Prentiss, the daughter of John and Doris (Worster) Smith. Delores spent her entire life preaching God’s word with her husband at churches in Prince Edward Island and 34 years at the Prentiss Church of God. She dearly loved all the wonderful people on Prince Edward Island, who became part of her family. A caregiver all of her life, she opened her heart and home to all who needed it. In addition to her husband, Tom, she is survived by a daughter, Diane Noyes and Rodney; a son, Stephen Glover, all of Prentiss; seven grandchildren, Beverly Clark, Michelle Glover, Matthew Glover, Matthew Noyes, Zakary Noyes, Tori Bain and Tiffany Bain; two great-grand-children; two brothers, Thomas Smith and Ramona of Talmadge and Gary Smith and Juanita of Prentiss; three sisters, Gloria Hersom and Leo, Shirley Worster, all of Prentiss and Jean Doane of Kingman; many nieces and nephews. Delores was predeceased by her parents; sister, Joan Smith; brother, Sterling Smith. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, at Prentiss Church of God with the Rev. Michael Gogan officiating. Spring interment will be at Butterfield Cemetery, Prentiss. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prentiss Church of God or to the family for expenses.
