MATTAWAMKEAG – Delphin ‘Del’ J. Beaumont, 80, husband of Genevieve (Beaulieu) Beaumont went home to be with his Lord Saturday, July 16, 2005, at a Lincoln healthcare facility. Del was born April 27, 1925, in St. Pierre, Quebec, Canada, the son of Edgard S. and Maryann (Belisle) Beaumont. Del worked at Great Northern Paper Company for 35 years, retiring in 1979. He was a past grand knight and member of St. Peters Council, Post No. 1936 Knights of Columbus. He was an avid snowmobiler, and in being a founding member, helped establish the East Branch Sno Rovers Club in the East Millinocket/Medway area. After retirement, Del and Genevieve moved to Florida, where he enjoyed warm winters, mowing his lawn, and annual visits from family, especially his sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Donald Paradise. Del was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 56 years, Genevieve (Beaulieu) Beaumont of Mattawamkeag; his children, Ellen Mclaughlin and her husband, Barry, of Lee, Donald Beaumont and his wife, Ann, of Cape Elizabeth, Susan Beaumont of Bangor, David Beaumont and his wife, Lynn, of Medway, Richard Beaumont and his wife, Sara, of East Millinocket, Betsey Kingsley and her husband, Scott, of Cushing; 16 grandchildren, Dawn, Michael, Jenny, Ryan, Danielle, Angela, Miranda, Lindsey, Anne Marie, Aaron, Simon, Adele, Taryn, Chris, Sam, Jon; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Suzanne Prevost, Frances Mesiano, Cecile Bolduc; one brother, Roger Beaumont; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers, Fr. Joseph Beaumont, Andrew, and John; two sisters, Collette and Sr. Anne Marie. A special thank you to all the loving caregivers at Colonial Acres.
