LAKELAND, Fla., and PALMYRA – Delwin B. Kimball, 66, of Lakeland, Fla., went to be with the Lord on April 25, 2004, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born on Aug. 20,1937, the son of Hiram and Lottie (Jordan) Kimball. He attended school in Monroe. He married Barbara (Braley) Kimball on June 19, 1954, who predeceased him in 1997. He was in the Navy from November 1955 until August 1957. He belonged to Laborers Local 1377 from 1965 until his retirement in 1992. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, shuffleboard and flea markets. He is survived by his fianc‚, Brenda G. Bouchard of Lakeland, Fla.; one sister, Dorathy Sperry of Presque Isle; eight children and their spouses, Debora L. Kimball of Hartland, Victor A. Kimball of Orlando, Fla., Richard B. and Linda Kimball of Dixmont, Anthony W. and Wanada Kimball of Zephyrhills, Fla., Kelly S. and Dwayne Raymond of Palmyra, Robin L. and Steve Killiam of Clinton, Lisa M. and Randy Ballard of Hartland, and Betty Jo and Arthur Nickerson of Corinna; 26 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Memorial services will be held in Maine at a later date.
