SAINT-LEONARD, New Brunswick – Mr. Denis A. Poitras, 81, passed away Aug. 6, 2008, at Grand Falls, New Brunswick. He was the husband of the late Therese Parent by first marriage and of Antoinette Beaupre by second marriage. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Steven and wife, Diane, Susan, Norma and Mike of Van Buren and Denise Michaud and husband, Raymond, of Drummond, New Brunswick; daughter-in-law, Rita Poitras, Peter’s wife, of Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska, New Brunswick; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; five brothers, Edouard of Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Armand and wife, Bernadette, of Hartford, Conn., George of Manchester, Conn., Gilbert and wife, Lorraine, of Saint-Leonard, New Brunswick, and Alyre and wife, Gisele, of St-Leonard-Parent, New Brunswick; four sisters, Alda Violette of Saint-Leonard, New Brunswick, Yvonne Dube and husband, Alphe, of Perth-Andover, New Brunswick, Evelyne Michaud and husband, Reno, of Cor-unna, Ontario, and Jeanne Ouellette and husband, Fidele, of Saint-Leonard, New Brunswick; nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Antoinette’s family. He was predeceased by two sons, Gary and Patrick; two grandsons, Daniel Poitras and Tommy Michaud; one brother, Adolphe; and three sisters, Anna St-Amand, Cecile St-Amand and Rose St-Amand. Resting at O’Regan’s Chapel, 83 Saint-Antoine St., Saint-Leonard, New Brunswick with visiting hours 7-9 p.m. Atlantic Standard Time Thursday and 12:30-2 p.m. Friday. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, at Saint-Leonard Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be in Van Buren. www.oregans.ca
