EXETER – Deke Wright, 58, passed away Feb. 2, 2006, at home after battling cancer. He was born June 19, 1947, in Bridgeport, Conn., the son of William and Anita (Levoti) Wright. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, where he became disabled. He belonged to the VFW, American Legion and was a member of the HUNNS motorcycle club of Connecticut. He was a free rider where he rode Harleys with many clubs in Connecticut and Maine. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and drove truck. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, riding motorcycles and “having a party.” He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Mary Ellen (Maloon) Wright; three daughters, Kimberly Daniels and husband, Ray and three children, Jack, Michael and Danielle, of Uncasville, Conn., Tina Sewell and husband, Jerry and three children, Billy, Brandon and Cassie, of Penn Lake, Penn., Dawn Wright of Derby, Conn.; three stepchildren, Zita (Maloon) Buck and her son, Nathan, of St. Albans, Richard Maloon of Exeter and Carlos Maloon and fiance, Shelby Seekins and their son, Gage of Dexter; and two brothers and two sisters, Robert Wright of Denham, William Wright and wife, Diane, of Texas, Connie and husband, Bob Glover, of Texas and Maryanne and husband, John Larovera, of Connecticut. Friends and family are invited to share conversation and visit family and friends 11 a.m. Feb. 12, at the American Legion Hall, Corinna. At the request of Deke, a cremation will be performed and military honors will be held in the spring. Arrangements by Memorial Alternatives, 1225 Broadway, Bangor.
