NORTHPORT – Tina Elvira Ramsey, 86, passed away Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at a local hospital. She was born Jan. 28, 1920, in Jackson, the daughter of Ina Rose (Winters) and Leon Parsons. Tina attended Crosby High School, she worked at the Shoe Factory, the Pants Factory and at Schoolhouse TOGS in Rockport and then managed the Infant Wear Factory on Field Street, Belfast. She was a member of the VFW Northport, Memorial Post 6131, a member of the Belfast Church of God for more than 50 years, and a member of Duxbury Free Christian Society for more than 50 years. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Merle Ramsey; great-grandchildren, Hunter Ramsey and Danielle Ramsey; a brother, Albert Parsons; and a sister, Winnie Hutchins. Tina is survived by her children, Donald Ramsey and wife, Doreen, Gladys Gray, and Merleen Palmer and husband, Gary; a sister, Evelyn Riley; brother, Charles Haley; grandchildren, Lane Gray, Callie Gray, Melanie Gray, Christopher Ramsey, Robin Feener, Joshua Ramsey, Kevin Palmer, Steven Palmer, Heather Palmer, Peter Palmer, and Glenda Eldridge; great-grandchildren, Mandy Gray, Nikki Gray, Cassandra Ramsey, Christopher Ramsey Jr., Shea Ramsey, Harley Ramsey, and Zachary Ramsey; and a great-great-grandchild, Mercedes Martinez; and many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at the Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast, where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will take place in the spring at the South Belfast Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Northport VFW, Post No. 6131, 334 Rocky Rd., Northport, ME 04849.
