SUNSET – Dennis E. Gray, 96, of Sunset, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005, at a Blue Hill hospital. He was born Aug. 8, 1909, in Deer Isle, the son of the late Maurice and Margaret J. (Waymouth) Gray. Dennis and his father operated Grayson Farm where they sold produce for many years. He was also a caretaker for many of the summer cottages at Dunham’s Point for many years. He was a lifetime member of the Sunset Congregational Church. He was also a member of the Deer Isle Grange and Odd Fellows. Dennis was the past Patron of the Eastern Star and past master of the Marine Lodge No. 122 AF & AM. He was also a member of the Shrine. He is survived by many close friends and neighbors who loved him dearly and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved cats who were his constant companion. Graveside services will be held in the spring in the Hillside Cemetery, Sunset, at a time to be announced. Cremation arrangements are by the Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home of Stonington.
