DENNYSVILLE – Derrick Michael Kilton, 22, passed away unexpectedly Oct. 9, 2007. He was born Sept. 22, 1985, the son of Doreen (Curtis) and Allen Kilton. Derrick graduated in 2003 from Shead High School. In 2004, Derrick completed a welding certificate at Washington County Community College, Calais. Derrick enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing video games and spending time with his family and friends. He was always quick with wit and a grin for any situation sure to bring joy to all those that were around. His family were his friends and his friends are considered family. He was truly loved by all that knew him for his heart of gold. All will dearly miss him. Derrick is survived by his parents, Doreen and Allen Kilton of Dennysville; godmother, Bertie Jamison of Edmunds; paternal grandmother, Suzy Kilton of Pembroke; and by his five siblings, sister, Stacey Dore and her husband, Damar, of Perry, brother, Christopher Kilton and his wife, Rhonda, of Dennysville, sister, Erica Kilton and her fianc?, Dwayne Sockabasin, of Dennysville, sister, Alesia Kilton of Dennysville and brother, Jacob Kilton, also of Dennysville; one nephew, Kyle Dore; three nieces, Desiree, Kelsey and Ashlyn Dore, all of Perry; two stepnephews, Henry and Justin Kuritz of Dennysville; nine aunts, 13 uncles, 42 cousins; four special cousins, Jeremiah Curtis, John Curtis Jr., Connie and Rico Carver; girlfriend, Rita Bassett of Pleasant Point; and some very special friends, Michael Ward of Pembroke, Kenny Cushing of Pembroke, Tyler Nystrom of Pembroke, Billy Bulmer of Dennysville, Danny Marshall of Dennysville and John Archer of Dennysville. He was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Donald and Con-stance Curtis of Dennysville; paternal grandfather, Harold Kilton of Edmunds; paternal grandmother, Katherine Kilton of Auburn; uncle, David Curtis Sr. of Dennysville; and cousin, Gordon Seavey Jr. of Crawford. A celebration of life service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at St. John’s Holy Catholic Church, Pembroke, with a reflection service to be held immediately after at Shead High School gym.”
