PALMYRA – Derrill O. Chandler, 67, died June 21, 2007, surrounded by his loving family at a Pittsfield hospital, after a long illness. He was born May 29, 1940, in North Conway, N.H., a son of Robert and Lila (Garland) Chandler. He retired as a self-employed mason. Derrill will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman, especially enjoying hunting, fishing and riding his four wheeler. He is survived by his wife and partner, Mary of Palmyra; two sons, Robert of Conway, N.H., and Frank of Palmyra; two daughters, Pamela Wheeler of Whitefield, N.H., and Patricia Chandler of Lancaster, N.H.; two brothers, Michael of Glen, N.H., and Lloyd of Bartlett, N.H.; five sisters, Mary Hall, Joanne Lufkin and Jeanne Phaneuf, all of Glen, N.H., Edie Rose Labbe of Intervale, N.H., and Judy Burdwood of Bremerton, Wash.; a half sister, Yvonne Hatfield, of Bremerton, Wash.; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Ralph. Private visitation will be held at the convenience of the family. A public graveside funeral and committal service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, at Glen Cemetery, Bartlett, N.H. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
