BANGOR – Dolores Sirois Tarascio, 77, formerly of Skowhegan, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008, in Bangor. Dolores was born July 12, 1930, in Skowhegan, to Wilfred and Bernadette (Lessard) Sirois. She attended and graduated from Notre Dame de Lourdes Parochial School in 1943, attended Sister’s of Sacred Heart Convent, Jackman and graduated from Mount Merici Convent, Waterville, in 1947. She lived most of her life in Hartford, Conn., and was employed at Advest Investment firm until retirement in 1991. Dolores did extensive traveling throughout the world and was an avid reader and photographer. She is survived by two brothers, Edmond L. Sirois and his wife, Marilyn, of Veazie and Jerome W. Sirois Sr. of Norridgewock and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Wilfred and Bernadette Sirois; brothers, Damase, Armand and Abel. At her request there will be no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church, Water Street, Skowhegan. Burial will be held later in the spring at Calvary Cemetery, Skowhegan. Arrangements entrusted to Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan.
