BANGOR – Dolores Y. Spencer went home to be with her Lord Feb. 9, 2008. She was born April 9, 1934, in Burtts Corner, New Brunswick, the daughter of Sampie and Jennie (Prosser) Rideout. She is survived by her husband, Robert H. Spencer; their three children, Jeffrey R. Spencer and his wife, Tina, Terence A. Spencer and Tami L. Spencer; two granddaughters, Katie M. Spencer and Tiffany L. Spencer, from the Bangor area; father-in-law, Ralph Warren of Lamoine; brothers, Murray Rideout and Russell “Buddy” Rideout; a sister, Phyllis Rideout; two sisters-in-law, Marion Rideout and Bessie Rideout; many nieces and nephews, all from New Brunswick. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Wendell, Ray, Beverly, Fred and Max Rideout; and sisters, Marie Thompkins, Madeline Everett and Dorothy Myatt. Relatives and friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, with the Rev. Peter Sprague, pastor of Columbia Street Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at Brookings-Smith, Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor, after the service.
