LAGRANGE – Donald A. Ward, 78, died Aug. 9, 2004, at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home. He was born July 30, 1926, in Howland, the son of Arthur and Pansy (White) Ward. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and had worked most of his life as a carpenter. Surviving are three daughter’s, Helen Veazie and her husband, Rick, of Glenburn, Rena Hoskinson and her husband, Scott, of Bremerton, Wash., and Dawn Newhard and her husband, George, of LaGrange; two sons, Arthur of LaGrange, and Linwood of Dawsonville, Ga.; two sisters, Natalie and Florice; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Cremation arrangements are by the Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth. Family and friends are invited to call after 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004, at the home of Helen Black, 1466 Hudson Road, Glenburn.
