SCARBOROUGH – Donald F. Ebbett, 76, formerly of Millinocket, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005, at a Portland hospital. He was born Dec.23, 1928, in Milbridge, a son of Byron and Nina (Gilman) Ebbett. Mr. Ebbett attended Millinocket schools and graduated from Stearns High School. He served in the Korean War. He was employed by Great Northern Paper in Millinocket for 30 years. He is predeceased by his wife, Patricia A. Madore Ebbett in February 200. He is survived by two daughters, Nancy Lehto and her husband, Neal, of Scarborough and Kim Remen and her husband, Fred, of Palm Beach, Fla.; one sister, Sara Nason of Virginia; one brother, Jimmy Ebbett of Millinocket; and one granddaughter, Lily Lehto of Scarborough. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Scarborough Terrace. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donald’s memory to: St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
