AMHERST – Donald Fraser Pennington, 73, died Monday, April 19, 2004, at his home in Amherst. He was born Jan. 18, 1931, in Salem, Mass., the son of George F. and Vera G. (Sanford) Pennington. Donald was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps where he was with the 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines of the 1st Marine Division during the Korean War. He was a member of the Korean War Veterans Assoc., the American Legion and a lifetime member of the Veterans Organization. He retired from the Raytheon Company as a program manager. Donald is survived by his wife, Joyce (Parker) Pennington of Amherst; a son, Stuart F. Pennington and wife, Debra, of York; a daughter, Heather P. Reusse and husband, Jeffrey M. of Newburyport, Mass.; one brother, the Rev. Dr. George J.W. Pennington of Longmeadow, Mass.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A celebration in his memory will be held 2-4 p.m. Saturday, April 24, at the Jordan Funeral Home, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth.
