Donnie was born Jan. 28, 1930, in New Haven, Conn., the second son of George and Mildred (Carpenter) Yaeger. The family relocated to Frankfort, where Donnie lived with his parents and then independently until 1998. Donnie was a presence in many lives from Winterport and Frankfort and to his care giving family at the Island Nursing Home, Deer Isle. Some will remember Donnie as the “guy with the leaves in the road” that he loved to watch blow in the wind when cars passed by or phoning his neighbor, Etta 10 times a day. Donnie was predeceased by his parents; and brother, Allan. Donnie will be forever and fondly remembered by the Doe family in Winterport, Mrs. Marilyn, Mr. Kippy, Beccaaaaahhhhhh and Rawbieee. Donnie’s loving family in Deer Isle include Ada Weed, Gary Webb, Harry Roderiguez, Becky Siebert, Lori Brown and many of his daily and nightly caregivers. Your kindness, loving support and care will come back tenfold to all of his angels.
