MILLINOCKET and CLEARWATER, Fla. – Jean M. Ashley passed away unexpectedly Dec. 28, 2006. She was born June 30, 1921, the daughter of Hedwich and Victorie Saucier. Jean is survived by her sons, Gary Rush and his wife, Stephanie, and John Rush and his wife, Lynn, all of Millinocket; her sister, Geneva Higgins and husband, Harold, of Clearwater, Fla. and Millinocket; her brother, Reginald Saucier and his wife, Alice, of Madison; special sister-in-law, Sandra Persson and her husband, Peter, of Enfield, nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Harlan “Butch” Ashley; sisters, Mamie, Memory, Minnie, Mary and Verna; brothers, Armour, Conrad and Roger; grandson, Peter John Rush; and great- granddaughter, Mackenzie Lynn Melvin. A memorial service will be held in the spring. Interment will be at Millinocket Cemetery.
