ELLSWORTH – Donald L. Seavey Sr., 75, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004, at his home. He was born Dec. 29, 1928, in Addison, the son of Leroy G. and Madeline L. (Merritt) Seavey. Donald attended Ellsworth schools. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and returned to Ellsworth after his military discharge. He worked for Lucas Tree Co., Warren Bros. Construction and Ray Builders for 20 years. In addition to Corice, his wife of 53 years, he is survived by his children, Deborah Dawn Seavey, Donald Jr. and his wife, Sherry, Patricia Miller and her husband, Doug, John and his wife, Dawn, and Patrick; seven grandchildren; brothers, Chet and his wife, Wilma, and Bob; his sisters, Mary Tate and Nancy Deraps; nieces, nephews, cousins; and his special friends, Brian Davis, Virgil Greenlaw, Carroll and Robert Jordan. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004, at United Baptist Church, Ellsworth with Pastor Robert Maddocks officiating.
