JACKSON – Stephen Earl Dodge, 58, of Jackson, passed away at his home Aug. 18, 2004. Born July 11, 1946, he was the son of Earl and Madeline Stevens Dodge. Steve worked for the Waldo County Sheriff’s Department as well as a long-haul truck driver for many years. He had various jobs also. Steve loved the outdoors especially fishing, boating, camping and spending time with his family and friends. Steve was predeceased by his father, Earl Dodge. He is survived by his mother Madeline Dodge of Jackson; two sons, Randy and Kevin Dodge; his life partner, Jane B. Alexander of Jackson; her kids, Charles Alexander and his wife, Kathy, of Bangor and Randy Alexander and his wife, Carrie, of Jackson; eight grandchildren, Jeremy and Courtney Alexander, Brettin Dinsmore, Renee’, Tia, Lilly, Emily and David Alexander; one brother, Robert Dodge of Jackson; two sisters, Beth Hopkins and her husband, Barry, of Belfast and Connie Hooper and her husband, Kevin, of Belfast; a very special friend, “Bubba” Art Hatch and his wife, Kelly, of Hebron, Ron and Sue Gray of Frankfort; and his beloved dogs, Emily and Clifford. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug 22, 2004, at the Jackson Corner Cemetery in Jackson. Donations preferred to the American Diabetes Association, Maine Memorial Processing Center, P.O. Box 31160, Hartford, CT 06150-1160. Arrangements are with the Rackliffe Funeral Home, 54 Church St., Belfast.
