BELFAST – Donald W. Jones, 80, died Sept. 4, 2006, at Tall Pines Health Care Facility. He was born Sept. 29, 1925, in Belfast, son of Fred and Maude (Herrick) Jones. He served in the National Guard and was a counselor for many years at the Hope House in Bangor. He was predeceased by his wife, Leola (Knox) Jones; two sons, three brothers and one sister. Donald is survived by his son, Richard A. Jones of Belfast; his brother, Harold Jones and wife, Connie, of Belfast; grandchildren, Christie, Jennifer, Elizabeth and Brian; two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
