DONNA JEAN PETERS CARIBOU – Donna Jean Peters, 67, died Dec. 22, 2007, at her Mapleton residence after a long illness. She was born March 14, 1940, in Bangor, the daughter of the late Chester and Sevena (Allum) Lane. Donna attended schools in the Bangor area prior to moving to California, where she was a resident for a number of years. After her return to Maine, she was employed as a psychiatric clinician for Aroostook Mental Health for more than 20 years. She was a member of Gray Memorial United Methodist Church, where she was also a member of the Jenny Lyons Circle. Donna was also a member of the Joslyn Senior Center, Escondido, Calif. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Gwen and Robert Ellinwood Sr. of Caribou; a nephew, Robert Ellinwod Jr. of Texas; a niece, Kim Lane of Nevada; aunt, Georgie Woodard of Maine; aunt and uncle, Marcia and Harold Allum of California; several cousins; her many dear fri-ends, including Peggy and Steve G., Dick B., Linda B. and Pattie C.; her California friends, Darlene and Ben F., Marie H., Bette A., Joan F., JuJu, Dianne and Doug, Diann and D.P., Muriel B. and her many other 12-step friends. Donna was predeceased by a brother, Chester Lane. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, at Gray Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Anna Beach and the Rev. Dorothy Mattson officiating. Spring interment will be at Advent Cemetery, Limestone.
