PAUL ROSS TAPLEY BROOKSVILLE – Paul Ross Tapley, 74, died Dec. 22, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. He was born May 2, 1933, in Castine, the son of William Ross and Velma Faye (Hawes) Tapley. Paul loved farming, tractors, trucks and his horses. He is survived by his sons, Christopher Tapley, Gregory Tapley and his wife, Melissa, all of Bucksport, Tommy Tapley of Brooksville and Perry Tapley of Sullivan; his daughters, Susan Gray and husband, Andy, Irene Dyer and husband, Wayne, all of Sedgwick and Sandra Slater and husband, Matthew, of Brooksville; one brother, Robert Tapley of Penobscot; one sister, Ethel T. Tandy of Deer Isle; grandchildren, Marty, Felicia, Travis, Ethan, Ashley, Elizabeth, Lisa, Nathan, Janine and Mandy; several great-grandchildren; and one niece, Claudette. Paul was predeceased by his wife, Gloria Marie Tapley; one son, Billy; a grandson, Jason; and two brothers, Billy and John. Friends are invited to call 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, at Jordan-Fernald, 141 South St., Blue Hill. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2008, at Mount Rest Cemetery, Brooksville.
