RUTH ANN MORNEAULT PORTAGE – Ruth A. Morneault, 72, passed away Dec. 21, 2007, at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born Feb. 18, 1935, in Manchester, Conn., the daughter of Luther L. and Eleanor (Massey) Hutson. She worked for many years as a graphic arts designer in the aircraft manufacturing industry. Ruth was involved in many clubs and organizations, such as a charter member of the Glastonbury, Conn., Rainbow Girls, a life member of the Ladies Auxillary in the Ashland VFW, the Portage Lake Loonies and Red Hats. Although she was a Methodist, Ruth attended regular service at Our Lady Of The Lake Catholic Church, Portage Lake. Ruth was a longtime resident of Portage and will be missed by all. She is survived by two sons, Ronald Morneault and his special friend, Sharon Estey, of Westfield and William Morneault of Marlborough, Conn.; three daughters, Joy Morton and her husband, William, of Groton, Conn., Bonnie Wurmnest and her husband, Craig, of South Windsor and Sandra Kemp and her husband, Dave, of Alpharetta, Ga; a sister, Shirley Mayo and her husband, Donald; and a brother, John Hutson, all of Hardeeville, S.C.; 12 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Richard E. Morneault; and a brother, Robert Hutson. A memorial Mass will be celebrated 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, at Our Lady Of The Lake Catholic Church with the Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie, celebrant.
