BAR HARBOR – Donna L. (Fletcher) Hamor, 58, died Feb. 11, 2004, at a Bangor Hospital. She was born June 7, 1945, in Bangor, the daughter of Henry and Mildred (Hooper) Fletcher. Donna was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother always surrounding her family with love and warmth. Her love for children was present in everything she did such as being a member of the first MDIHS Music Boosters Board, scouting and a long time daycare provider. Her home was always to the friends of her children and grandchildren. She was Mom to so many and Meme to so many more. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Charles “Charlie” Hamor; her mother, Mildred Fletcher; one daughter, Phyllis H. Leighton and her husband, Michael “Woody” Leighton; two very special grandchildren, Katie and Kasey Leighton, all from Bar Harbor; also surviving are one sister, Eleanor Keene of Bar Harbor; two brothers, Paul Clough and his wife, Helen, of Bar Harbor, and Reginald Fletcher and his wife, Alna, of Ellsworth; one stepsister, Jeanne Harvey and her husband, Dennis, of Houlton; a very special friend, Jane Harris Carter of Bar Harbor; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Henry Fletcher; and her beloved son, Chuck Hamor. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at Church of Our Father, Hulls Cove, with Fathers Chuck Bradshaw and Robert Raymond officiating.
