PERHAM – Donna M. Chapman Doody, 74, went home to be with her Lord Thursday, April 17, 2008, surrounded by her loving husband, Elwood, and family. She was born Jan. 24, 1934, in Caribou, the daughter of Maurice and Flora (Myshrall) Chapman Sr. She was a member of Washburn Pentecostal Church, taught Sunday school, ushered, and was a member of the ladies prayer group and Womens Home Missions Council. She is survived by her husband, Elwood Doody; a son, Mark T. Doody and his wife, Becky; a daughter, Darlene Paradis and her husband, Robin, all of Perham; two grandchildren, Jason Paradis and Ashley Doody; two brothers, Jeffrey Chapman and his wife, Cecilia, of New Sweden, Michael Chapman and his wife, Vicki, of Pittsfield; two sisters, Jackie Harvey and her husband, August, of Fort Fairfield, Carolyn Hanlon and her husband, Terry, of Windham; nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind two special friends, Sally Gould and Sandra Sherman. Donna was many things to many people and so special to all. In addition to her parents, Maurice and Flora, she was predeceased by her stepfather, William Chapman; two brothers, Frederick Chapman and Maurice Chapman Jr.; and a sister, Manilva Fenlason. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, at Washburn Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Bruce Blakney officiating. Friends may call 10 a.m. until time of service at the church. After the service there will be a reception held in the church fellowship hall. A burial will take place at a later date at Crouseville Cemetery.
