HAMPDEN – Donna Marlene Staples, 68, the wife of Albert E. Staples, of Hampden, passed away, Dec. 10, 2005, at a Bangor healthcare facility, after a year long battle with cancer. She was born Nov. 9, 1937, in Bangor, the daughter of Fred A. and Ada A. (King) Hatt. Donna is survived by her beloved husband of 31 years, Albert of Hampden; a son, Kurt Jolander of Fordlamb, Mo.; and his two children, two sisters, Sandra J. Baldry of Acton, and Shirley Standley of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; three brothers, James H. Hatt of Blanchard, Okla., Dwinal Henry of San Diego, Calif. and Donald Hatt of Dade City, Fla., and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Karen Jolander; a sister, Alice Page; and a brother, John Henry. Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, at the Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, (outer Hammond Street), Bangor. The family encourages any gestures of remembrance be made to the Donna M.
