BURNHAM – Dora M. Parsons, 92, died May 17, 2007, at a Pittsfield hospital. She was born Oct. 28, 1914, in Wallagrass, a daughter of Laurence and Isabelle (Corbin) Michaud. After graduating from high school, she attended Husson College, Bangor. Dora was employed as a private cook at homes in Connecticut and Massachusetts; and later worked as a weaver for Ski-Land, Clinton and Moosehead Woolen Mill, Corinna. She was a communicant of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Pittsfield and a member and past president of the St. Agnes Guild. She was past president of the Waterville District of Maine, Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, a member of the Columbus Guild of Waterville, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for nearly 70 years. She is survived by a brother, Richard and wife, Ann Michaud, of Newport; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Erlon; a brother, Neil Michaud; a sister, Rena Jarvis; and stepdaughter, Jean Page. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 50 Detroit Ave., Pittsfield, with the Rev. Fr. James Robichaud officiating. Burial will be at Pittsfield Village Cemetery. Private visitation will be held at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main St., Newport.
