EAST MILLINOCKET – Doris K. Deveau, 78, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. She was born June 16, 1928, in Berlin, N.H., the daughter of Maurice and Ruth (Chapman) Landers. Doris enjoyed knitting, spending time with her family, watching game shows and going out for Chinese food. In addition to her mother, Ruth Hartley of Berlin, N.H., Doris is survived by her husband of 58 years, Clifford Deveau of East Millinocket; four children, Sharon Waite and her husband, Les, of Medway, Joey Deveau and his wife, Cherri, of East Millinocket, John Deveau and his wife, Laurel, of Woodville and Michael Deveau and his wife, Therese, of East Millinocket; two sisters, Mary Carr and her husband, Dick, of Arizona and Joan Wilson and her husband, Al, of Illinois; a half sister, Sheila Bilodeau and her husband, Jerry, of Berlin, N.H.; 10 grandchildren, Cynthia, Wayne, Angel, Alicia, Chris, Daryn, Lianne, Keegan, Stephanie and Steven; six great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by a daughter, Kathy Kelley; a brother, Maurice Landers Jr.; and two sisters, Betty Chavarie and Sally Theriault.
