BOWDOIN – Doris M. Quimby, 84, died peacefully July 2, 2007, at her son’s home, Paul and Mina Burr of Bowdoin. She was born Aug. 31, 1922, in Lakeview, the daughter of the late Wilbur O. and Helen M. (Cooper) Hall. She was a housewife for many years. She loved to needlepoint, do crossword books, cook and read. She loved to be with her loving family. She is survived by her son, Paul Burr and wife, Mina, of Bowdoin; two daughters, Shir-ley Griffin of Old Town and Pamela Burr of Brunswick; sister, Betty of Millinocket; brothers, Richard of Virginia, Carl of Connecticut and Robert of Miss-issippi; 16 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, 23 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Wilbur and Helen Hall; sister, Winiford; brother, Wilbur Jr.; her late husband, Aubrey Quimby; and her first husband, Douglas Burr; her daughter, Doris LeClair; one grandson, Brian Burr; one great-grandson, Caleb Beal. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. July 7, at Evergreen Cemetery, Milo.
