MILLINOCKET – Doris Sylvia “Nanny” Jamo, 77, wife of the late John “Sam” Jamo, passed away Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007, at Millinocket Regional Hospital after a brief illness. She was born Oct. 13, 1929, in Millinocket, the only daughter of Wilfred and Annie (Chasse) Willette. Doris leaves behind four children, Cathy Currier and her husband, Garth, Steve Jamo and his wife, Jeannie, Laurie Morrow and her husband, Steve, and Jayne Jamo and her friend, Joe Montgomery; 10 grandchildren, Jason Currier and wife, Colleen, Sarah Dube and husband, Bob, Nicholas Jamo and wife, Jen, Georgia Rae Jamo, Tom Ambrose and wife, Becka, Dana Marston and Ryan, Ashley Voteur, Zachary Hayes and Sam and Lucas McLean; five great-grand-children, Kristen, Samuel, Camryn, Noah and Parker; a brother, Jim Willette and wife, Patty; a sister-in-law, Mary Morse; and several nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by three special fri-ends, Joyce, Sandra and Leah. In addition to her husband, Doris was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Jamo. Graveside funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Millinocket Cemetery, Medway Road, Millinocket. Friends are invited to share conversation and refreshments immediately after the service at Crestview Circle Recreation Hall.
