MILLINOCKET – Dorothy A. Folsom, 83, passed peacefully at a Millinocket hospital, with her loving family at her side, on her 62nd wedding anniversary, Sept. 4, 2006, after a long illness. She was born Dec. 27, 1922, in Millinocket, the daughter of Mary (Cormier) and John Raymond. “Grandma” lived a full and happy life and thoroughly enjoyed and loved her grandchildren with all of her heart. She could often be seen at events that they took part in, such as sports, plays, etc. She also loved her fishing time at Cedar Lake and would spend the whole day fishing only coming in for meals. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Kim Folsom of Millinocket; and her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Philippe Page of East Millinocket; her grandchildren, Shannon and Aaron Thibodeau of Auburn and their daughter, Leah Sydney, Jason Folsom and friend, Jennifer Comeau of Yarmouth, Justin Page of East Millinocket, and Callie Page of East Millinocket; a sister, Vina Michaud of Westbrook; two very special sisters-in-law, Jennie Shorey of Millinocket and Hazel Raymond of Connecticut; brothers-in-law, Charles Folsom of Fairfield and Lloyd Folsom of Connecticut; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Carroll; her sisters, Eva, Jackie and Evelyn; and her brothers, Herbert, Omar and Oscar. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church. Interment will be at Millinocket Cemetery.
