RAYMOND – Dorothy A. Knights, 73, of Brown Road, died Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Maine Medical Center, Portland, after a long illness. She was born Oct. 2, 1934, in Danforth, a daughter of Alex and Beatrice Morse Theriault. Dorothy was educated in the Danforth schools and worked in the electronic industry most of her life. She loved sewing, gardening, flowers, birds and the salt water, and most of all her family. Dorothy was an avid churchgoer at Lakes Region Baptist Church and enjoyed the bible studies. She was married to Roger C. Knights for six years. Roger was her first and last love. They met at Casco Bay walking on the beach after 50 years of separation and they immediately recognized each other. In addition to her husband, Roger, survivors include her children, Brent Stewart of Dexter, Patrick Sinclair of Manchester, N.H., and Shelly Stewart of Raymond; her brothers, Joseph Theriault of Houlton and Peter Theriault of Danforth; her sisters, Bertha Sawyer and Bonnie Theriault, both of Orient; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. There will be no visiting hours. A memorial service will take place 1 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at the Knights residence, 5 Brown Road, Raymond.
